Crowns

A dental crown successfully covers a damaged tooth, strengthening it and improving its shape and positioning. Crowns can be either porcelain or ceramic and will match the colour of your existing teeth closely. Dr. Sandeep Kanwar may recommend a tooth crown if you need to:

  • Replace a large filling when there isn’t enough existing tooth

  • Protect a weak tooth from fracturing

  • Cover a tooth that has had root canal treatment

  • And other reasons

Dental Bridges

If you’re missing one or more teeth, Dr. Kanwar may suggest a dental bridge. If left untreated, gaps from missing teeth can cause the remaining teeth to shift or slide, imperilling your smile. Untreated gaps can also allow gum disease and TMJ disorders to take root. Bridges will be affixed to natural teeth. These natural teeth, or abutments, act as anchors to help keep the bridge in place. With proper care, a dental bridge can last many years!

BRIDGES

Dental Implants

Dental bridges aren’t the only way to replace missing teeth. Dental implants can also help make your smile complete. From start to finish, the dental implant process can take a few months. First, Dr. Sandeep Kanwar will install the implant by placing a screw into your jawbone. It can take between 3-6 months to heal completely from a dental implant. An artificial tooth will then be attached to the metal root.
